Every make, stage by stage

A batch is one make of one recipe: its quantities, its stage, its dates, its quality checks. The production board shows every active batch by craft, and the stages are your craft's real ones - cold process soap cures, hot process cooks, brewing ferments. No generic to-do pipeline.

From the dashboard's New Batch, pick a recipe: size, expected yield, cost, and per-ingredient deductions arrive prefilled, along with how many batches your current stock could support. One confirm starts it and deducts stock. Three taps, bench-tested with messy hands.

Batch cards carry a one-tap advance to the next stage; the full pipeline lives on the batch page. Every advance pops an undo toast, and stages with quality checks hold the door: a cold-process batch does not reach Cutting until the pH and zap test pass. Fail a check and the batch stays put with the reason logged.

The production page opens with To start: open orders matched against your stock and real make times, each with a start-by date or the exact shortfall blocking it. Completed batches join a pending pool on the orders page, ready to drag onto the order they fulfil.
